
Lorain County Right to Life, by IRS rules, does not participate or intervene in political campaigns on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. However, we can provide information to our members on where candidates stand on issues of importance to us, and also what is in the candidate’s party platforms. We’ll be adding comparison pieces on where candidates stand, news on endorsements from Pro-Life and Pro-Family organizations. and other items of interest as they become available. Check back often for updates.
Information on how to register to vote, voting by absentee ballot, early in-person voting (and hours), lists of candidates, and more can be found on the Lorain County Board of Elections Website.
November General Election Important Dates:
- Military and Overseas Absentee voting – Sept 23 to Nov 7
- Deadline to register to vote – Oct 11 (registration link here)
- Absentee voting by mail – Oct 12 to Nov 7 (must be post marked Nov 7 or earlier to be counted)
- Early In-Person voting – Oct 12 to Nov 7 (see link here for locations and hours)
- General Election date – Nov 8
If you haven’t already voted early and are unwilling or unable to vote in person on Nov 8, you need to VOTE BY MAIL and request an absentee ballot.
To request an absentee ballot, click here. You need to fill out the form and mail it to your county board of elections who will return the ballot to you by mail. Unless you are a member of the U.S. military currently deployed overseas or an American living abroad, absentee ballot request must be received at the Board of Elections by noon on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
If you can’t vote in person, PLEASE, request your absentee ballot and vote Pro-Life!!!!

With the Supreme Court’s decision in the Dobb’s case last summer, the major front of the Right to Life battle has been shifted to the state level. In Ohio the Heartbeat Bill, which expands protection of the unborn, is currently enjoined in the courts, which makes the Ohio Supreme Court elections this cycle particularly import!
Justices Kennedy, DeWine, and Fischer have all been endorsed by Ohio Right to Life (ORTL), Right to Life Action Coalition Ohio (RTLACO), Ohio Value Voters (OVV) so please note these endorsements and vote accordingly. Let’s keep the momentum of the Supreme Court ruling going!!
